This Black Sheep Audio build takes a different approach from our typical portable boombox. Instead of focusing on deep bass, this system uses an NVX 6.5” premium pro-audio loudspeaker/horn designed for high output and strong projection. The result is a compact portable system that can cut through background noise and remain clearly audible in louder environments. It’s a great fit for the garage, shop, jobsite, outdoor gatherings or anywhere you value volume and projection over low-end bass. IMPORTANT: This is not a bass-heavy boombox. The horn-style speaker produces strong mids and highs with minimal deep bass. If you’re looking for heavy low-end, one of our other builds will be a better choice. If you want something compact that can get loud and carry, this is the one.
